And we welcome him to the mother's market radio show. Tim, how are you?
Great, thank you so much for having me on the Leone here.
Well, thanks for being here and you had me at anti-aging, so you'll have my complete tension today, why don't you fill our audience a little bit on your mission and your work before we get to the show's topic. Yeah, you know, I've really dedicated my life to natural health and wellness for a couple of decades now. I've had some personal experiences with my mother getting cancer when I was younger, and I quickly realized that, you know, your quality of life is directly related to how well your body functions, and I saw her not having energy and not able to go out and experience life and so I really wanted to not only help my mom and learn as much as I could, but also myself too, and so I've really focused on functional medicine and understanding the root of problems, and that kind of led me to neo cell, which is where I am today, because college is such a vital part of our body that it really affects everyone head-to-tell, and it's just a great way for me to help people out and help myself out at the same time.
Go for you.
Well, collagen does seem to be a popular buzzword in the natural health community, and first of all, can you explain what collages and why we might need it as a supplement? Yeah, sure, so Collagen is the second most abundant substance in your body, it is second only to water, and basically it has a head-to-toe effect, so it's a protein that is almost like a series of fibers or webs within each tissue, kinda like a screen door like the mesh of a screen door or a spider web, these threads are woven together in our tissues, it's what holds our body together, so from head to toe, the strength and the health of our college and really determines how well our body functions.
So for example, 75% of the skin is made of college, and if you have any collagen issues in the skin, you'll develop wrinkles and then your skin will sin and it will say If you have 86% of your attendance and ligaments are made of collagen, if there's anything that's wrong with it, a twist or a tear in that college, and you have an injury and you can't function correctly and holds your bones together in your digestive track together, so college in really is a full body benefit. And the problem is that as we age, collagen naturally declines, and that's where we come in at NEO-cell as our body is breaking down College and naturally as we age, if you can stimulate the body to produce new collagen and rebuild from the inside, you're basically gonna rebuild all of your tissues. That's how you get that anti-aging benefit for wrinkle reduction and thickness of the skin and tightness of the skin, but also stronger joints and bones.
Well, you make it sound like this is what everybody needs to have, this is the perfect addition to what we need as we age, well, I figured everybody really does need it, and colleges, one of the unique supplements out there that is literally applicable to every single person on Earth, and not a lot of things can say that, so if you eat enough Sam and you get plenty of Omega-3s, if you go out in the sun, you get vitamin D, but collagen cannot be obtained through the diet, it has to be hydrolyzed, and that's what's in our supplements? So because every single person on earth goes through this college in decline, it's inevitable, it's part of the aging process, and the only way to get it is through a supplement, literally everybody can benefit an ESL product.
And thank you for educating me about college, and I know this is what we're discussing will go further about it, but I mentioned that we all decline in college, and naturally as we age, I've noticed that some people age faster than others, and are their lifestyle or dietary choices that we make that we can accelerate the aging process or... Talk a little bit about that.
Yeah, so naturally, just everybody on Earth on average declines in college and production by 15% per year after the age of 25, now, that's just the average for what genetically... We have going on in our body, if you have a lifestyle and a diet that is creating a lot of free radicals or toxins, or if you eat too much sugar, there's a process called glaciation that destroys proteins within the body, all of that can actually accelerate the that 15%, it could be 2 Peter, 3% or 4%, just based on your diet and your lifestyle, so I really think that too many carbs and too much blood sugar is the main culprit, obviously the alcohol and the smoking that is gonna directly destroy collagen protein and make you age quicker, but stress in to just releasing too much adrenalin and cortisol, all of that breaks down collagen, and that will lead to those signs and symptoms of the aging process that the wrinkles and the weakening joints and bones.
So conversely, is there anything we can do to slow down the college and degradation over time?
Yeah, well, so eating a clean diet is always very important, having a lot of antioxidants are really important, so everybody knows stress causes premature aging, but they kind of forget that there's a college in link in between there, so... Stress is an actual thing. It's the release of adrenaline and cortisol, and those hormones are designed to break our body down, and what people don't realize is a lot of what they're breaking down is actually College and proteins, so stress is the release of hormones that break down collagen and that college and breakdown is what leads to the aging process, so if we can say, eliminate some stress and have free radicals be neutralized by anti-oxidants, that's a great way to just kinda naturally slow down any of that accelerated aging process, but we're always still gonna experience some of it so really the only way is to take a college in supplement to stimulate the cells within the body to rebuild a college, an internally.
Okay, and it's true, the more education we have about stress, it really is a thing, and you're right on, you're telling us about everybody think stress is this abstract concept, and when you go through medical school, they're like, no, stress is the release of adrenaline and cortisol from adrenals, so it's a very physical thing and it does very physical things to the body, and one of the main things is break down collagen, Let's focus now on beauty for a moment, and how exactly could... How does college and decline effect skin?
Yeah, so the thickness of your skin is directly related to college, and a lot of people think collagen and Ringling, so basically, if you have fine lines and wrinkles, that's diets in those fibers of collagen, the mesh of your skin that's made up of collagen has little crevices in there, and over time, as the college and weekends, that's why we develop more and more through just smiling and use in sun damage, things like that, also. So besides the Ringling part of it, the thickness of the skin is just as important, so if you have, say, veins running through a very thick layer of skin, they're gonna be hidden by that college and as college in declines, this skin actually finds out and some of those veins come to the top and you get very cost veins, if you have declining College in your skin, it also doesn't hold his tight to your bones, and so it will actually sag and you'll get the skin kinda loose underneath the chin or under the arms or on the app or the knees, so all of that is directly related to college, and so what you can do is take a ELL product and it will actually tighten the skin to your face, it will thicken the skin, so it will start to hide some of those veins and it look more plump and youthful, and it will also help reduce those wrinkles as well... Fantastic. Sign me up as a... Right now, that's nice.
Yeah, what benefits can someone expect when taking a college and supplement?
Well, nelsen clinically proven. So we can point to our human clinical study, we know that college has a great anti-aging benefit for wrinkle reduction, we actually did our study on skin hydration, which is kind of a new discovery benefit for college, and so as we age, we also dry out and our college and declines... Well, there's a link, there's a release relation there, so if you take a Neil sell product, you can expect your skin to be more hydrated and to have that reduction in wrinkles as... So in our study, 92% of the participants experienced a pretty drastic increase in skin hydration after 12 weeks, between 24 and 50% increase in skin hydration, so we know that skin hydration is one of them, the skin benefits as far as anti-Ringling, but also they do when you rebuild collagen with a neo-SEL supplement, there was a study that was done that showed that the fibers actually arrange them themselves in a more organized manner, and to the eye to the naked eye, we kind of subconsciously perceive the way that college is woven into our skin, and we judge people based on that organization, so what I'm saying is, if you can take a nice supplement, the organization of those fibers will actually look more youthful and look better to the naked eye, not just the wrinkle reduction, but just the way the smoothness and the softness of the skin is gonna improve as well.
Wow, oh my goodness. Like I said, I'm really interested about this, this neo-cell, this is fantastic, and I like that this is something new with this research, there's another question I wanted to ask you about, and that is, how does this supplement to it that is different than other types of protein for skin health.
So in other words, you said this is new research with this protein, you said That it's a supplement form... Tell me a little bit about the nose. Tell me... What form does it come in? So supplement... And then tell me a little bit about you. Sure, way that supplements work, just in general, for Neel is we have some very unique amino acids that make up a collagen protein, and if for those people that are kinda nerdy like me, the hydroxy Berlin proline and glycine are very rare unique amino acids, they're not found in way... And they're not found in soy or plant-based proteins. Collagen is very unique, and so what happens is when you take a nice supplement, it's those very unique amino acids in the way that they're kind of held together, they're called Di and Tri peptides, those float around the body, and they actually come in contact with a cell and it's only those amino acids that stimulate the body to produce new collagen, so in other words, you don't get the same benefit from eating protein-like way you get protein, the anti-aging benefit the college in benefit from taking college and college and stimulate College in production the other proteins don't.
So then we just try to put it in as many different delivery forms as possible, we wanna make it easy for people to take our products, so a very popular one, say, is just our UN-flavored powder, you can just mix it in orange juice or something like that you can throw it in your coffee, you can put it in soups and salad dressings and spaghetti sauces and all that good stuff, but we also have soft Chews that are delicious, called Beauty bursts. You just tried one area, we have our new college and cookie bar coming out that is delicious, it's a nice way to take it, and the great thing about college, it is whether it's a tablet, powder ache a bar, we still have a 90% absorption rate for all of our collagen. So it's gonna get into your body, it's really about how people like taking collagen, it's not about what's most effective, and I know that's on a lot of people's minds, so I just say Whatever fits into your lifestyle, that's gonna be the best product for you to take from yourself.
Okay, thank you for explaining that. That's great, very interesting information. We have to take a quick break, but stay with us, we have more coming back, so we'll be right.

And now, back to our interview with neo-Sal Director Tim mount, and we are talking about collagen and the benefits of how great this is not just for anti-aging, but just for everything you're talking about, and I'm getting sold on this. On College now. So Tim, you were just telling me to... That you have a daughter and she's four.
Congratulations. But you're talking about these little bursts that these are called... They're so delicious. Yeah, our joint versus what you have right there. And then we have our beauty bursts and then biotin verse as well, so we have, depending upon what you're looking for, we have three different kind of benefits, a lot of people start with the beauty of e-College in Halloran acid and Vitamin C. in a nice, tasty to... It's almost like a healthy Starburst, a lot of aerial starters.
But yeah, my daughter runs in Shell, it's usually the first thing she asks for, she'll run into the bedroom in the morning and go, beauty burns Peters, and she just loves it, and I feel good because first of all, college and is one of the safest substances on Earth, it's protein, it's a special protein, and it does very unique things, but it's not dangerous really in any dose. And that's important. I wanna be able to give my daughter something safe, right. And something that she likes to... And collagen is growth. And so from a moment were born to the moment we die, we're rebuilding college, and now a lot of people don't realize that as a child is growing that... Yeah, they think about cells dividing, but in reality, you're building a framework of college, and that's what growth is, you build more college and in that builds the size of your body, and so I figured I am helping my kid grow nice baits strong.
Let's go under full... And that kind of begs the question of, so it's okay for children, is okay for anybody, of all its... Yeah, it's actually... We don't know of any major allergies, we don't know of any side effects, contraindications with medications, it's safe to take with other proteins, as far as we know, it's one of the most safe substances on Earth... Good for the whole family. And that's one of the great things about taking, say, or super College in powder and putting it into a recipe, your whole family is going to benefit from that, and it's gonna be safe for everybody.
Right, you mentioned collagen can support Joint Health, but what results do people notice when taking the OSL products?
So most people start just feeling better, and it's funny because a lot of our customers start out taking, say, the super College in powder because they want their skin to look better and we live in America, and everybody wants to look good, including myself, and there's nothing wrong with that, but really, people continue to take it because they just wake up one day and they're like, Wait a second, I just kinda don't have those same aches and pains... Now, I know because I've done the research that collagen has been shown to reduce pain and inflammation, especially within joints, and basically what's going on is when you say twist your ankle, it hurts and it swells of inflammation and pain... Well, basically what that is, since you're ligament and tendon are almost 100% college is you're tearing the collagen, when you twist your ankle to heal that twisted ankle, you need to heal the collagen that makes up the ligament and tendon. And what happens when that occurs? The pain goes away and the inflammation is reduced, so it's not a pain reliever, say, like an aspirin would be, it's just that the pain doesn't need to be there because the tissue is stronger and more flexible and isn't injured anymore.
So I think with people, they're gonna notice more mobility, they're gonna notice less of that kind of creaky achene, and that's really why people keep taking ESL products, so can college and help support injury recovery like you were just talking about, and reduce that risk of injury as well, the longer you're taking that collagen because it's kind of adding like as a Padres, what I like to say is, you always wanna do prevention first... Right, if you can reduce the risk of injury. That's the best way to go.
So taking college in is going to strengthen your connective tissue from head to toe, and if you're an athlete or if you're exercising, a lot of people forget that they need to supplement for their connective tissue, everybody's getting big strong muscles and weak ligaments and tendons, and that's a strong muscle pulling on a weak joint, and that's how you get injured, so whether it could be somebody that's 80 years old and they just want better mobility, long-term college and supplementation is really the way to go, so you can just have that strong connective tissue however, if you get injured, as I mentioned, with the ankle injury or really any injury, there is gonna be some type of destruction of connective tissue, and that connective tissue has to heal, so if you have an injury, the first thing people should think of is college in a lot of people think of glucosamine, maybe contrite and things like that, but in reality, glucosamine is not found in all joint tissues, it's only found in cartilage, and it's a very small percentage of cartilage, only 15%, so people get marginal benefits from it, but collagen by comparison makes up 60% of the cartilage, 99% of the ten and 86% of the ligament, so it's much more important, it should be really the first supplement when people think about joints, thank you for that fact, what is the best way for someone to incorporate a collage and supplement in their lifestyle. I've noticed recently that collagen can be used in cooking too, you mentioned that earlier, and that kind of was surprising, but I think that's great, like you said, spaghetti and baking possibly. So can you talk more about what recipes for adding College in... Sure, yeah. So first of all, I'd encourage people go to our YouTube channel. You just search nose College on YouTube. We have a bunch of videos, we have a famous celebrity chef, his name is Charles Chan, he's been on a number of TV shows like hope and things like that, and he is constantly creating these amazing recipes and is just coming up with mouth-watering recipes, and you're like, Wow, this is really healthy for us, and so one of the things that I think is a new trend in America is adding value to our food, increasing the nutritional value of it, so functional foods are really a big popular thing these days. One of the great things about our super College in powder or our dermatitis powder is it's un-flavored and it's not gonna change anything about the recipe, you can add it to your coffee, you kinda don't even know it's in there. If anything, it's a little bit of a texture feel, where it might be a little bit smoother, kind of more of like a blister, any type of texture. But a lot of people like that, it's not a bad thing.
So if you're adding it, say, to a homemade salad dressing, you know it's actually gonna pick in that salad dressing up instead of having it be a little bit watery, and it's gonna have a really nice consistency to it. soups are another thing. Great, great additive to any soup out there, carols are good. We know that you can bake with college in up to 315 degrees for 15 minutes, so if you wanna just put it on 315 and bake a casserole or something like that, it's a great idea, but I think the easiest thing is really... Coffee in the morning, and I think a lot of people are doing some of that MCT oil or GE or whatever, if you add in collagen to that, to that mix, that's a perfect additive for coffee... Right in the morning, that's what I personally do. I have my MCT oil I put in my college and I have a little one blender, I just throw it in my coffee, mix it up, it's nice and creamy and smooth, so delicious, and keeps me going for a long time, and then smoothie recipes are really kind of the easy thing too, I personally put it in my pre-workout supplement, and that's a great way to get your college in and college and keeps you satiated too, so you're not gonna be all that hungry for several hours. Oh, that's good to know. That's great. And so you have this... You mentioned on your YouTube channel. On your website?
Yeah, so go to YouTube, you can go to our website as well. I've read a blog on there also and usually have recipes on that, but if you'd like search or you can see me, and I do some of the recipes too, I just did some really quick easy recipe ideas, I did a coffee... A paleo coffee recipe on there, but Charles is really the one, he's the specialist. I kinda ride his coattails when it comes to recipes, he'll give me a little idea, I'll make a video, he's really good chia pudding and Maha truffles, and the stuff he comes up with is so good and it's really easy to... And super healthy, and Charles is a nice young, healthy guy with a lot of energy, and he just really has a passion for healthy cooking, so... Great ideas on our YouTube channel.
Okay, we'll check that out on my last questions, other less known benefits of collagen you can talk about... Yeah, so I think a lot of people start with the skin benefits, hair and nails are another really important one that people don't think about with collagen, collagen basically creates a capsule around the root of the hair that's say in your scalp, and if that college in capsule degrades over time, well, guess what, the root isn't anchored into that scalp as much and it's more likely to fall out.
So myself, personally, I'm 38 years old. I started losing my hair around 2728, I have a picture, I was going back and I happened to have my head tilted down in the camera, caught a picture of the top of my scalp, and at 31, you could see through my hair to my scalp, and so about six years ago, I started working with Neil, didn't think much about it. And I want my hair, I stopped falling out, I knew that I could tell that, and then I pulled that picture up and then an after picture of today, and it's a drastic difference. I have a hair style now, and you'll see it on the YouTube channels, you can see it for yourself, I don't take anything else in just our nails, College and products. I think that's a big one. Women really like the increase in nail growth and thickness, that's usually the first thing people notice is their mail string faster, and then there's other things too. It's not just the beauty benefits, Bones are another big one, especially as you're aging, a lot of people think about calcium and some people might do vitamin D or K-2 and stuff like that, really collagen is as important as any of those because it creates the framework for all of those minerals to hold together, so calcium is not magnetized, nothing is holding calcium together in the body, unless it attaches to a framework of collagen, and so as college into grades throughout our entire body, our bones get weaker and therefore... And that can lead to brittle bones and all those... The diseases that pop up in later life, and I think the other really big one is digestive and cardiovascular issues, the digestive system can hold tight and not be as porous, and the cardiovascular system, they've been shown to decrease blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart issues, wow. So many wonderful benefits. Can you take the college in any time, day or night? It doesn't matter.
Yeah, we do recommend for maximum benefit, try to take it away from other large protein sources, so don't take College in the big stake. That's about the only thing. But morning or night. That should be totally fine. It really depends on the person's lifestyle.
Okay, well, this is really interesting and I'm sold.
So thank you for sharing all of this and I'm exposing the great things about college, and thanks for your time and some great advice, we really appreciate your knowledge, and we look forward to having you on again, but in the meantime, you can get more information on Tim and his website is Neo cell dot-com, it's N-E-O-C-E-L-L. just for the spelling there, we look forward to your next visit. Thank you, thanks for having me, I appreciate it.
