Learn About Tulua Shots
Hello Tulua Lovers!
With the onset of Winter, you not only get brisk morning and evening air, and the Holiday cheer and treats, but you also get the beginning of cold and flu season. Whether you get vaccines and boosters or not, your immune system can certainly use extra support this season.
Enter Tulua Shots!
Our ginger shots are a fantastic addition to your diet all year, but especially during cold and flu season. Ginger has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and may boost immune health.
Did you know that heat kills many of the beneficial compounds in fruits and vegetables? And, heat is often used in both pressing and processing many beverages? Our juices are cold-pressed and our ingredients undergo High-Pressure Processing, which is a cold processing method that uses pressure to extend shelf life while maintain nutritional integrity and flavor.
With cold-pressed juices and 62,500mg of juiced ginger root per 2 ounce bottle, Tulua’s ginger shots are the most powerful available and they’re vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free. We only use the highest quality organic and functional ingredients.
So stock up as we enter into cold and flu season, and add fresh ginger to your daily regimen. Along with juices high in vitamin C like lemon, orange, and pineapple, you’ll give your immune system the support it needs during this upcoming cold and flu season.
Certainly one of the most soothing beverages when you’re feeling under the weather is hot tea. Try this tea next time you’re feeling down.
- 1 ½ cups hot water
- 1 Tulua Lemon Ginger Shot
- 1 ½ tsp raw honey (or to liking)
- Pinch of ground turmeric (optional)
Add hot water to your favorite mug. Stir in Ginger Shots Lemon Ginger and honey, and top with a pinch of ground turmeric.
Other options are to add your favorite shot to your favorite black or herbal tea. One of our favorites is to add a Tulua Orange Ginger Shot to an herbal cinnamon spice blend. So good!
Another easy meal to make when you’re not feeling great is Lemon Ginger Soup.
- 3 ounces shitake mushrooms (fresh or dried)
- 2 scallions
- 1 Tulua Lemon Ginger Shot
- 4 cups vegetable broth or chicken broth
- 4 ounces thin rice noodles
Pull the stems from the mushroom caps. Wipe away any dirt from the caps with a damp paper towel, then thinly slice the caps. Discard the stems. Thinly slice the scallions, both white and green parts.
In a large saucepan, heat the broth over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and let come to a low boil. Add the rice noodles and cook until tender, about 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the Lemon Ginger shot and scallions.
Divide the noodles and broth among bowls and enjoy a soothing, warm bowl of soup.
Lastly, why not make some of these to keep in case you need them down the road.
- 2 cups water
- 1 Tulua Lemon Ginger Shot
- 3 Tbsp Honey
- 1 packet unflavored gelatin
In a small or medium sauce pan, bring two cups water to a boil over the stove. Once a light boil is reached, remove from heat. Use a whisk to stir in Ginger Shots Lemon Ginger, honey and gelatin. Once the gelatin is dissolved, pour into a 9×9 or 8×12 baking dish. Refrigerate for one hour or until gelatin has set. Cut into squares or use cookie cutters to make fun shapes.
