HOW TO MAKE A HYDRATING CUCUMBER WATERMELON MOCKTAIL
It’s 2022, and it’s time we stopped thinking of alcohol as the definition of an adult beverage. This cucumber watermelon mocktail is as classy as a martini and more refreshing than a cold glass of water on a summer afternoon—and there’s no way you’d find it being served at the kids’ table!
One thing we love about mocktails (and this recipe in particular) is that they can be functional and low in sugar without sacrificing flavor or satisfaction. This one is made with ROAR Organic, a hydrating beverage packed with B-vitamins, antioxidants, and electrolytes to help you feel both refreshed and replenished. Pair that with fresh watermelon, cucumber, and mint and you’ve got summer vibes in a glass.
This recipe also helps you make the most of your farmers’ market haul. Need a way to polish off the rest of that watermelon you purchased? Not sure what to do with that bushel of cucumbers you couldn’t pass up? Make a batch of this mocktail and you’ll be through them in no time!
Ready to kick back, relax and say “cheers”? Here’s how!
What you’ll need for each mocktail:
- ½ cup watermelon, cut into cubes, plus a slice for garnishing
- 2 slices of cucumber, plus 1 or 2 extra for garnishing
- Fresh mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Cucumber Watermelon ROAR
Directions:
Step 1 – Add watermelon, cucumber, 2 or 3 mint leaves, and simple syrup to taste in a tall glass.
Step 2 – Muddle. You can use the back of a spoon if you don’t have a muddler.
Step 3 – Add ice cubes (enough so that the glass is about ¾ of the way full).
Step 4 – Fill ‘er up with Cucumber Watermelon ROAR.
Step 5 – Garnish with more mint leaves, a slice of watermelon, and another slice of cucumber – because making it look pretty is part of the fun!
Step 6 – Relax, sip, and hydrate!
