How Does Rosewater Work?
Rosewater has a rich history of helping enhance the lives of people around the world and has been celebrated for ages for its hydrating and soothing benefits. However, many still wonder how rosewater truly works and where it originated.
Rosewater was the first perfume listed in The Canon of Medicine, sometime between the 9th and 10th century AD. A popular product, rosewater has been used in the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia long before it spread worldwide. There was even an alchemist in the 1300s who created a tonic for the aging Queen of Hungary to restore her youthfulness. Throughout millennia, pure rosewater extracts have helped people mourn and celebrate, feel grateful, beloved, and graceful.
Rosewater is sourced from Damask Roses grown in Europe and Asia. It’s created by the steam distillation of fresh Rosa damascena rose petals when extracting rose essential oil. Damask Rose extracts are great for skin protection and the classic aroma imparts a sense of peace, love, and relaxation.
Heritage Store offers three ways to incorporate the power of the rose into daily skincare rituals:
Rosewater: This classic spray has only two ingredients, Damask Rose and Vor-Mag™ Water. Together, they offer versatility to refresh, set, hydrate, and uplift. Damask Rose soothes and softens skin, while Vor-Mag™ Water is vortexed and magnetized, creating a transcendent experience for all.
Rosewater & Glycerin: Like the classic Rosewater but with an extra boost of hydration, this spray hydrates and softens skin for a dewy complexion that helps skin achieve a radiant glow.
Rosewater Toner: Ideal for dry skin types, this toner is specifically designed to hydrate skin and help absorb the rest of the skincare rituals. The gentle ingredients work to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while offering deeper hydration for a youthful glow.
No matter the time of day, spritzing rosewater can offer an instant mood boost while hydrating and soothing skin, making it a perfect addition to any skincare ritual.
