With a patent-pending formulation and four years of R&D, Origen and Harmony have both earned numerous gold medals for taste and coveted innovation awards. Founder Amy Holmwood—armed with a master’s in biotechnology enterprise from Johns Hopkins and a nutrition certification from Stanford—designed these spirits using food science and holistic principles. After overcoming her own health journey, she sought to create alcohol that aligned with wellness values, sparking the mission behind Holistic Spirits Co.
Holmwood partnered with actor and activist Woody Harrelson, who was drawn to the company’s plant-based ethos and commitment to transparency. “I think it’s a marvelous thing that Amy came up with,” says Harrelson. “It was a no-brainer to get involved.”
